Nature is at the center of it all. Neither disconnected nor separate from humans and from all the things we do. Micro and macro, we all reflect the natural world within our own existence.

Connection to nature is important to me creatively and politically. This is where I draw inspiration not just for my art but for my community work as well: a sense that we are all related and interconnected. Nature can teach us about mutual support and redistribution of resources, about living in ways that support each other.

My nature inspired art is a study of how we find a sense of belonging and community and build a world that is kinder to all living beings.
